TRAVELLING TO THE DOOR
The Isle of Mull lies off the west coast of Scotland. It can be reached by ferry from Oban, Lochaline or Kilchoan (Ardnamurchan).
Between April and October there is a ferry every 2 hours from Oban to Mull, while the Lochaline ferry operates approximately on an hourly basis. Reservation in advance for the ferry from Oban is essential, but no reservation is required for the ferry from Lochaline or that from Kilchoan.
Oban can be reached in 2 ½ hours by car from Glasgow, via the A82 and A85.
Those travelling via Lochaline should keep on the A82 through Glencoe, and cross the Corran ferry to Ardgour and then take the A861 and A884 to Lochaline.

Once on Mull follow signs to Salen where you pick up the key to the house. Instructions will be sent when your booking is accepted.

Those travelling by air to Glasgow can hire a vehicle at the airport and join the A82 across the Erskine Bridge. Special arrangements can be made for air travellers to hire linen at The Door. Please ask when booking.

A twice-daily bus service to Tobermory passes The Door. However, we would recommend guest bring their own means of transport.
