The Door Trust is a Christian foundation administering the premises at Mornish Schoolhouse, now called “The Door”. Originally formed by a group of former staff and members of Rugby School, the Trust includes in its aims the sponsoring of holidays for families engaged in full-time service either at home or abroad who by reason of their circumstances would otherwise be unable to afford a holiday.
The Trust also encourages those using the Centre to avail themselves of the extensive Christian resources available, and from time to time mini-conferences are arranged that make use of the Trust's facilities. The Trust issues an annual report and newsletter, which is available on-line on this site. (see links on bottom of this page) Donations to the Trust (except where these are payments for your stay) can be made using Gift Aid, whereby the Trust also benefits from the taxable element of the Gift. Donors will be sent a Gift Aid form on request. The Trust is able to act as a distribution agent for gifts to other Christian Charities, and would ask any donors availing themselves of this service to make a small donation to the Trust for any expenses involved in processing these. A single gift given by Gift Aid to The Door Trust could be distributed to several such Christian Charities, providing always that these fall within the remit of the Trust's original charter.
The Trust publishes a newsletter of its activities that is available online, and
is a Registered Charity in Scotland
